วันวิสาขบูชา หมายถึง การบูชา ในวันเพ็ญ เดือนวิสาขะ หรือเดือน 6 , เนื่องในโอกาสคล้ายวันที่ พระพุทธเจ้าประสูติ ตรัสรู้ และเสด็จดับขันธปรินิพพาน เวียนมาบรรจบในวันเดียวกัน คือ วันเพ็ญเดือนวิสาขะ จึงถือว่าเป็นวัน ที่สำคัญของพระพุทธเจ้า , หลักธรรมอันเกี่ยวเนื่อง จากการประสูติ ตรัสรู้ และเสด็จดับขันธปรินิพพาน คือ ความกตัญญู อริยสัจ 4 และความไม่ประมาท
